In an effort to identify and reduce healthcare disparities, the surgery center routinely audits patient self-identified demographic data. Information, such as spoken and written language, obtained in these audits help the center better serve these communities through targeted associate training, communication and policy development.
On going efforts include:
- Better communication during your visit through a dedicated language line phone:text and/or live translator
- Forms and communication translated into Spanish
- Forms and communication modified for the persons with a visual impairment
